How we approach each engagement
Every engagement at Padang Digital begins with listening. Before we suggest a tool, recommend a vendor, or draft a specification, we spend time understanding how your team currently works and where attention is spent.
What follows depends on what we hear. Sometimes the right outcome is a letter that says "we don't think AI integration is the priority here right now." That's a useful result. Other times we move into a single, carefully specified workflow build, or a longer stewardship across several connected processes.
In each case, the scope is agreed in writing before work begins. We do not expand scope without a new written agreement. We document our work as we go and hand it over in a form that your team can maintain, modify, and discontinue without our involvement.

Quiet Survey

A simple engagement built around listening rather than presenting. We come to your offices for a half day, sit with one or two team leads, and ask a short list of considered open questions about how work currently moves and where attention is spent.
We take written notes and follow up with a brief letter summarising what we heard and what, in our considered view, might be worth examining further. There is no slide deck, no proposal embedded in the report, and no obligation to commission further work afterwards.

A modest build of one AI-supported workflow agreed in writing before work begins. We prefer pieces that are genuinely useful in everyday work rather than visibly impressive: a structured-summary helper for long internal documents, a draft-reply assistant for routine correspondence, or a small internal Q&A helper.
The engagement includes a written specification, a build phase, a four-week trial with a small chosen group, and a written handover. We document what the workflow does, what it does not do, and how to switch it off if you wish.

A multi-month engagement during which we accompany your team through the work of integrating AI thoughtfully into several connected workflows. The pace is set by your operational rhythm rather than by external deadlines, and we treat empty calendar weeks as part of the design.
Work covers governance considerations, training, vendor coordination, and gradual transfer of operational responsibility to your in-house staff. A closing written report describes the state of each workflow and offers measured recommendations for further consideration in subsequent quarters.

Standards that apply to every engagement
Data handling reviewed first
Before any build, we examine what data the workflow will touch, which vendor will process it, and what terms govern that processing. We flag concerns before committing, not after.
Written agreements, no exceptions
Every engagement is defined in a written document before work starts. Scope does not expand without a new written agreement from you.
No vendor dependencies
We hold no referral arrangements with AI vendors. Recommendations reflect what fits the workflow, not what earns us a commission.
PDPA-aware processes
All workflow designs account for Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act. We document data flows and retention clearly in every handover.
